R. brachycarpum x R. aureum, controled pollination The cross was made in 1992 by Bengt Kihlman, Osmo Jussila got seed from Svenska Rhododendronsällskapet (SRS 92-35), Osmo gave small plants to Reijo Hahkala who raised them to flower. Reijo Hahkala called one of the plants "Kuutamo" but changed it later to "Alli". The hybrid is now available as tissue cultured in Finland. Kristian Theqvist
