R. succothii (Barbata). Opretvoksende kompakt stedsegrøn busk med glat og afskallende rødlig-brun til purpurrød bark. De glatte grønne blade sidder tæt sammen for enden af skudet og danner en spiral. Bladstilken er meget kort og bladvener ikke nedpressede. Bladspids afrundet. De rør-klokke-formede blomster kommer i april og er crimson til skarlagenrøde med mørkere nektar poser. Denne sjældent dyrkede art er tilbøjelige til at meldug. Den blomstrer sjældent. Vildtvoksende i Bhutan og der tilstødende vestlige Arunachal Pradesh, Indien, hvor den findes i skove fra 3400-4200 m.
