R. (Diplarche multiflora). Er en ny gruppe der er indlemmet i Rhododendronfamilien – måske fordi der er tættere knyttet til rhododendron end R. camtschaticum?, som er lidt af en outsider. Diplarche multiflora, optræder nu som Rhododendron chamberlainii, og Diplarche pauciflora, optræder nu som Rhododendron sophistarum. Måske indlemmet i Rhododendron pga fejlagtig alignment af DNA sekvenser.
