R. brachycarpum ssp. tigerstedtii f. ulleungense (Pontica). Denne form af R. brachycarpum ligner ssp. tigerstedtii og ssp. brachycarpum. Den har konvekse blade med tyndt brunt indument. Bladbasis er mere eller mindre hjerteformet. Bladstilken 1:3-4 af bladlængden. Ofte bredere og kortere blade end ssp. tigerstedtii, ssp. faurei og ssp. brachycarpum. Blomstrer ca. 2-3 uge senere end var. tigerstedtii. Vokser kun på øen Ulleung øst for Korea.
The Ullung R.brachycarpum ssp. tigerstedtii f. ulleungense plant habit is rather small when compared to brachycarpum ssp. brachycarpum or ssp. tigestedtii. The Ullung brachycarpum differs considerably from the Korean mainland brachycarpum‘s. There grows only one brachycarpum species on Ullung, but there is some minor variation in the color of the flowers and may be on the shape of the leaves. Some texts have described that brachycarpum var. roseum grows on Ullung. However, according to Min Chan Park from the Korean National Arboretum, there is only one form of R. brachycarpum on Ullung and it differs from the brachycarpum on the Korea mainland. The R. brachycarpum on Ullung is a low growing shrub and R. brachycarpum (ssp. tigerstedtii) on the mainland grows high.
