The flowers are incredibly bright for a big leaf rhody and the foliage is striking, too. Our staff has been keeping a close eye on it – the joy of growing plants from wild collected seed! RSBG. From Arunachal which bloomed for the first time this spring. Very nice, non-fading deep pink. I am currently calling this mechukae aff. But is definitely a new species.
